We are looking for a rockstar coder to develop and support a reverse auction scalable platform. We think PHP + RoR coupled with a mySQL backend should suffice. You will be asked to work with a web-design team and help them implement an Ajax/JavaScript/CSS based theme.

Section 1: Buyers Section. Buyers can login, select a product they would like to buy, create a time dependent reverse-auction to accept bids on that product from suppliers, limit the auction to a few suppliers by zip code, track the lowest bid, modify the product, communicate anonymously with bidders, track all previous purchases, etc.

Section 2: Sellers Section. Sellers can login, browse available reverse auctions (tenders), bid on a tender, provide additional details for the bid, track the current lowest bid, communicate anonymously with the buyer, track all previous bids, etc.

Section 3: Admin: Admins can login, accept payments from buyers and sellers for the use of this service, search, browse through all current tenders, communicate with buyers and sellers, delete and remove auctions, ban users, lock user accounts, generate statistics on transactions (e.g. lowest bid, etc).

This PHP database driven application is currently hosted on a webserver and for presentation purposes we need to have it run onto a MacBook Air without internet connection available.

- You must be BASED IN THE BAY AREA, and be able to come to our office in Marin County, next week, during regular business hour to work on the MacBook Air (if it is really not possible then we can bring the MacBook Air to your office).

- Even though the web-based Application is working perfectly, you must know PHP to be able to troubleshoot problems that you could face with the code, when running the application locally (edit the config file, set it up to run on localhost, etc.)

- You must know MAMP or an other software that will make Apache and MySql work on the MacBook Air (which of course has Leopard as OS).

- You must know Mac and Leopard, to be able to troubleshoot Apache and MySql (be familiar with the Terminal etc.)
